Bio:
Sai Amulya Nyathikala is a civil and environmental engineer with a strong passion for addressing the climate crisis through sustainable solutions. She was the recipient of the Commonwealth Split-Site PhD Award by the Govt of the UK and has extensive experience working in the areas of urban water supply management, water policy, and Greenhouse Gas mitigation.
As the Energy and Water Programs Specialist at Climate Resolve, Sai Amulya works on greenhouse gas mitigation projects, carbon crediting programs, and other energy and water-related projects, specifically focusing on disadvantaged communities to promote equitable climate solutions.
Sai Amulya completed her PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from NIT Bhopal India in collaboration with Durham University, UK, and has worked as a consultant with UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), a UN agency for international development. In this role, she provided vital technical support to the State Policy and Planning Commission, Bhopal, India, for integrating and localizing UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prior to joining Climate Resolve, Sai worked at a climate tech startup based in New York, leading critical market and policy research to advance climate tech product solutions aimed at decarbonizing the water industry. Additionally, Sai Amulya provided crucial support for implementing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) product solutions to assess and mitigate N2O process emissions for multiple wastewater utilities.
Sai Amulya is committed to driving sustainability across various sectors and making a tangible difference in the fight against climate change. Outside of her professional work, Sai values spending quality time with her family and nurturing her passion for learning new dance forms.
