Resilient California Summit
Please save October 20 – 22, 2026 for the three-day Resilient California Summit to be held at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento.
The Summit will convene climate resilience leaders from across the state to accelerate collective progress on the policies, partnerships, and practices needed to create resilient communities. Participants will hear policy insights from State leaders and key findings from California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment while exchanging knowledge, learnings, and ideas with peer leaders.
The Summit will feature a diversity of interactive, practitioner-led sessions aimed at fostering cross-sector dialogue, sharing tangible resources and tools, and surfacing actionable priorities to move California’s resilience agenda forward, boldly and collaboratively.
The Summit is being organized by the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate
Innovation, Climate Resolve, Farallon Strategies, the California Natural Resources Agency,
UC Davis Institute of the Environment, and Indigenous Futures Society – with core support
from the David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Resources Legacy Fund, and Resilient Cities
Catalyst.

Carbon Forward Summit
Carbon Forward is California's annual event for advancing lower-carbon materials and sustainable construction, convening architects, engineers, developers, manufacturers, policymakers, and building owners to move innovation into standard practice.

LABC's 20th Annual Sustainability Summit
The Los Angeles Business Council (LABC), will be hosting LABC's 20th Annual Sustainability Summit on October 1, 2026, at Town and Gown in partnership with the University of Southern California.
Marking the 20th anniversary of both the LABC Sustainability Summit and AB 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 that established California’s landmark framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the program will reaffirm a principle that has helped propel the state of California to the world’s 4th largest economy and guided the Summit for two decades: sustainability is good business. As California prepares for a gubernatorial transition, the Summit will examine how California can sustain two decades of climate and economic leadership by advancing policies that drive market innovation, strengthening regional energy markets and grid reliability, modernizing water infrastructure for climate resilience, and attracting the investment needed to grow its digital, advanced mobility, and commercial space economies.

2026 California Economic Summit
Registration is now open for the 2026 California Economic Summit, October 13-15 in Long Beach. Hosted by California Forward in partnership with the California Stewardship Network, the Summit brings together leaders from business, government, philanthropy, labor, and community organizations to build a New California Economy that is resilient, sustainable, and inclusive.
This year's theme, Shared Investment, Shared Prosperity, comes at a pivotal moment, with a new governor and legislative leadership on the horizon. Early-bird pricing ends August 31.

For over 16 years, Climate Resolve has been a force for innovative climate solutions—from paving the way with cooler streets in Pacoima to installing smog-eating roofing shingles in Watts and Wilmington, and securing climate and wildfire recovery wins in Sacramento. Together, we’re showing what resilience looks like.

Climate Resolve & LACI Host LATAM Mayors
On October 9, 2025, Climate Resolve and Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) hosted the Urban Resilience Across Borders Forum delegation, representing 11 municipalities and eight countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, and Uruguay) across Latin America, for a tour of LACI, a cool pavement demonstration, presentations on climate resilience from Los Angeles City and County officials, and a detailed overview of Climate Resolve’s work.
The LACI site visit was part of a tour of Southern California climate resilience strategies in action hosted by the Institute of the Americas and CAF (banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe).
The Reflect Effect
Climate Resolve, along with co-hosts Southern California Association of Governments, Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, and Smart Surfaces Coalition, with support from the Urban Sustainability Directors Network and Climate Mayors, invites you to attend The Reflect Effect, to be held on July 24 to July 25, 2025, in Los Angeles.
Join officials from Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Antonio to learn about proven solutions for preserving municipal infrastructure and protecting residents from the worsening impacts of extreme heat.
