Bio:

Kate Vedder is a senior at UCLA, majoring in Public Affairs with a minor in Professional Writing. With experience leading a youth campaign aimed at pressuring Governor Newsom to halt the issuance of new oil permits and establish setbacks between active wells and public spaces, Kate is passionate about mobilizing student activists to tackle the injustices of the oil industry.

In addition to her advocacy work, she is a journalist for the Daily Bruin, a designer for UCLA’s premier feminist magazine, and an organizer for Coastalong, the university’s sustainable music festival. Through these roles, she strives to foster collective power both on and off campus.

As an intern at Climate Resolve, Kate will be working closely with the Ready for Tomorrow team, assisting with grant writing and contributing to initiatives that aim to build a more equitable future for all.
