Delia Acedo

Policy & Legislative Affairs Intern

Bio:

Delia Acedo (she/her/ella) is an Intern at Climate Resolve. She is a 2025 graduate from Cal
State Long Beach where she obtained her Master’s of Public Health in Community Health
Education with a concentration in Global Health, and the Latino Health certification. She is a
UCI alum, where she received her undergraduate degree in Public Health Policy. During her
time as a student, Delia worked at the LGBTQ+ resource center as an Outreach and
Community Leader as well as the Student Health Services student clinic as a Peer Health
Educator. She is currently a research assistant studying resilience hubs and day laborers.

Outside of school, Delia is an active community organizer and advocate. Her motto is,
“It takes a hood to save a hood,” where she believes the key to creating a better community is
to empower members of the community to drive and push for the changes they need,
because they are the best representation for their communities. Community efforts she is
passionate about are environmental justice, health equity, health promotion through
prevention.

In her free time, Delia enjoys the convenience of audiobooks, concerts, soccer games,
nature, and community spaces. Her perfect day off is grabbing coffee from a local shop,
thrifting, and spending time with her family, partner, friends, and pets.
