Climate Resolve has been awarded the 2024 Climate Leadership Award
We are excited to share that Climate Resolve has been awarded the 2024 Climate Leadership Award! Kristopher Eclarino, our Senior Technical Manager, received the award on behalf of the Ready for Tomorrow team. This recognition is for their commendable work offering free grant writing services to our partners across L.A. County.
Climate change disproportionately impacts disadvantaged communities (as defined by screening tools such as Cal EPA’s CalEnviroScreen and Justice40’s Climate & Economic Justice Screening Tool). Municipalities, tribal entities, and CBOs serving disadvantaged communities often lack the resources to apply for and win climate funding.
Since 2020, Climate Resolve’s Ready for Tomorrow program has provided no-cost grant writing assistance to under-resourced municipalities, tribal entities, and CBOs pursuing climate grant opportunities. Our efforts have secured over $24 million in climate grant awards for our program participants, nearly 160 times the amount invested in our program thus far.
As the proud recipient of ecoAmerica’s 2024 American Climate Leadership Award, the Ready for Tomorrow program is poised for further growth. We will be utilizing the $50,000 prize to expand our services, aiming to assist even more communities in securing vital climate funding.
Thank you to ecoAmerica, our program funders at Southern California Edison (SCE), Servicon, East West Bank, City National Bank, and CIT, and to each of our partners with whom we have worked throughout the years.
