LADWP Services and Rebate Programs
On behalf of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Climate Resolve meets with local residents, students, and elders, and presented on issues relating to climate change. We know that climate change is already here and that communities are feeling the effects through the increase of extreme heat during the summers.
Throughout the year we have promoted awareness of the dangers of extreme heat and also provided essential information and education on strategies to cool down homes, neighborhoods, and the city. Our staff engages with communities by presenting on extreme heat, heat-related illnesses, and strategies that can be used to cool down homes and increase resiliency. Additionally, we connect local residents with resources that they can use to help conserve water and energy at home, lowering their bills and reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions at the same time.
