Janelle Vidal

Coordinator, Resilience & Outreach

Bio:

Janelle Vidal (she/her/ella) is a Resilience and Outreach Coordinator at Climate Resolve, driven by a deep passion for environmental justice, advocacy, and community storytelling through art. Born and raised in Palm Springs, Janelle has firsthand experience with extreme heat, which fuels her commitment to advocating for communities disproportionately impacted by climate-driven impacts.

With experience in the non-profit and academic sectors, Janelle has worked closely with diverse communities throughout Los Angeles, with a particular focus on underserved areas. Prior to joining Climate Resolve, she served as a Program Specialist at USC’s Division of Environmental Health Community Engagement Core, where she managed communications and co-led an environmental health research program for USC undergraduate students.

Janelle is a proud UCLA graduate (Go Bruins!) with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Environmental Systems and Society. Outside of work, you can find her at one of LA’s awesome independent theaters (watching movies is practically her second job), out on a hike, or spending time with family and friends!
