Greenhouse Gas Mitigation
California has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 40% below 1990 levels by 2030 and 80% by 2050, and Climate Resolve is committed to finding more ways for Los Angeles to lead California in meeting these targets. This includes work on local greenhouse gas mitigation projects to benefit communities, especially disadvantaged communities most affected by climate change.
Climate Resolve offers technical assistance and manages mitigation projects at public buildings, streets, schools, businesses, and homes, including:
- Energy efficiency retrofits
- Zero net energy (ZNE) implementation
- Cool roofs and surface implementation
- Greenhouse gas offset project development in disadvantaged communities
