David Fink oversees policy related to energy efficiency, greenhouse gas reductions, and climate adaptation/resiliency. David helped Los Angeles become the first city in the U.S. to require cool roofs on all new and rehabbed residential construction. He is working with the state of California and the city of Los Angeles on identifying and implementing urban heat island mitigation strategies and setting targets for greenhouse gas reductions. Prior to joining Climate Resolve, David worked for Global Green USA on increasing renewable energy and energy efficiency in the built environment, and served an LA City Councilmember as a Legislative Deputy. While working as a consumer advocate for Consumer Watchdog on a range of issues from health care reform to ending discriminatory banking and insurance practices, he helped manage campaigns in four states related to worker’s rights and voting rights. David is a native Angeleno who loves eating tacos and playing guitar, just not at the same time.
