There is good news from this election: Measure M passed!
Voters in Los Angeles County overwhelmingly supporting the construction of Metro’s comprehensive, multi-modal transportation system in Southern California.
It’s a huge win for Los Angeles and climate action. The largest share of California’s climate pollution comes from burning fossil fuel on the road and the plan includes more public transit, active transportation, and green infrastructure that will reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Bonus: it will improve the lives of Angelenos, with projects that will result in less traffic, cleaner air, and better ways to get around out great city.
Another win: Measure A passed. More parks in Los Angeles will help communities deal with effects of the drought and extreme heat.
