Climate Resolve is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit organization, founded in 2010, that focuses on local solutions to global climate change, and works to achieve outcomes that bestow multiple benefits.
We work to make California more equitable, just, livable, prosperous, and sustainable today and for generations to come by inspiring people at home, at work, and in government to reduce climate pollution as well as prepare for climate impacts.
We fundamentally believe that climate solutions must benefit all, especially people with low incomes who are most affected by climate change and least able to defend against its impacts.
To achieve our mission, Climate Resolve works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build collaborations to implement regional climate initiatives. We work to improve how Californians commute. We work to protect our natural resources. We work to keep our cities resilient in the face of climate impacts, by disseminating climate information that makes local climate impacts relatable and solutions actionable.
Last, we boldly share our local approach as a model for cities and regions across the world to create lasting global change.
More about our work: to keep LA cool; find better ways to get around; share and contextualize climate science that affects Southern California; protect our land and resources — and connect with Angelenos, policy-makers, and other local leaders helping us with climate mitigation and adaptation efforts.
